GIFT undertakes research/ consultancy projects on various aspects of Public Finance,Taxation, Taxation Laws and Tax Administration -for Government of Kerala, other State Governments and Government of India and Public Sector undertakings, apart from conducting theoretical and policy-oriented studies in the areas mentioned above which are brought out in the form of working papers, monographs and research reports.
The Institute has been recognized as a Research Centre of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, Kerala. It has also entered into MOUs with The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai and National Law School of India University, Bangalore for conducting academic programmes.
